Title Card keeps your media diary on your device. We don’t collect it, we can’t read it, and there is no account to sign into.
What we collect
Nothing. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. Your entries, ratings, notes, lists, and artwork live in the app’s own storage on your device.
What leaves your device
Only searches, and only while you’re making one. When you look for something to add, the title you type is sent to the service that knows about that medium so it can send results back:
- TMDB — films and TV
- Open Library — books
- Podcast Index — podcasts, by way of titlecard.tv
Those requests carry the search term and nothing else — no identifier, no diary contents, nothing about you. Artwork is then downloaded from those services to show in the app. We don’t log any of it.
Diagnostics
If the app crashes, iOS may prepare a report about it. Those stay on your device unless you choose to send one from Profile → Settings. Nothing is transmitted automatically.
If you send feedback
The app has an optional form for reporting a bug, requesting a feature, or saying hello. If you choose to use it, it sends what you typed, along with your app version and device model so problems are easier to chase down. A reply email address is optional, and only for getting back to you. If you opt in, the most recent crash report comes along too. Nothing is sent unless you tap Send — and if you never open the form, nothing leaves your device.
Your data, your copies
Export and backup files are written by you and shared wherever you choose. They never pass through us. Deleting the app deletes the diary with it, so keep a backup if you want to keep your history.
Tips
Title Card is free, with an optional tip jar. Tips are processed by Apple; Title Card never sees who tipped, and the app keeps only a local count.
Children
Title Card isn’t directed at children and collects no data from anyone, of any age.
Changes
If this ever changes, the date at the top changes with it. If it were ever to change in a way that meant collecting something, the app would say so before it did.
